• Drumming workshops

  Wed 21 Oct 2026

We were delighted to welcome Jeff Rich, former drummer of Status Quo, for an exciting and interactive drumming workshop! Jeff began by sharing stories from his musical career and his passion for drumming before taking us on a fascinating journey through the history of drums, exploring how they have evolved both in appearance and musical style. Children had the opportunity to try a variety of drums, including a military drum and a Nigerian talking drum, while the rest of the audience enthusiastically copied rhythms and clapped along. We were then treated to an incredible performance on a full drum kit, showcasing Jeff’s impressive improvisation skills. To finish, KS1 joined us for a fantastic finale, where we all became one big percussion band, playing together alongside Jeff. It was a wonderful experience filled with rhythm, energy and musical inspiration!

• Primary Enterprise World Workshops

  Fri 16 Oct 2026

This week our key stage 2 classes have all enjoyed full day workshops with Primary Enterprise World. This is the second year we have had these sessions and the children have thoroughly enjoyed them once again.  Primary Enterprise World is dedicated to helping children discover their potential through hands‑on enterprise and life‑skills learning. They create experiences that encourage curiosity, build confidence, and inspire young learners to think creatively about the world around them. The workshops give children the chance to explore real‑world challenges, work together, and develop practical skills that support them in school, at home, and in their communities.  The day is designed to empower children with the tools they need to thrive now and in the future.
