  • Fond Farewell to our feathered friends!

    Fri 23 May 2025

The whole school had a wonderful time watching the duck eggs hatch and the fluffy ducklings grow day by day. Everyone was filled with excitement as they saw tiny cracks appear on the eggs and the ducklings slowly peck their way out. It was fascinating to watch them grow bigger and stronger, especially when they had their first swim in the water tray! The children loved helping to care for them, gently holding them and making sure their bedding was clean and cosy each day. Staff even took the ducklings home over the weekends to make sure they were well looked after. Although we were all sad to see them go, it was a special experience that brought lots of joy and learning to the whole school. Mrs Rutherford has put together this amazing video so you can all see how much we enjoyed having them.

  • VE day

    Fri 09 May 2025

VE Day marks the end of World War II in Europe on May 8, 1945, when people across the UK celebrated peace after years of conflict. We celebrated VE Day 2025 with a special assembly, period costume dress-up, and a fun street party lunch! In our assembly, pupils learned about the importance of this day and the bravery of those who lived through the war. We enjoyed singing songs together, dressing up in red, white and blue and sharing lunch together, just like the street parties held 80 years ago! Click the link below to watch a video showing some of the best bits of the day!

  • Reception Ducklings

    Fri 02 May 2025

Early Years have been hatching ducklings! We received eggs in an incubator and have cared for them soooo well that we now have 11 ducklings!

Sadly, we now have 11 ducklings without names! We would like your help!

Here are our 11 ducklings - Can you think of any great names?

If you have any good suggestions, write the number of the duckling and your chosen name and place it in the box provided in your classroom. Reception will then look through all of the names and decide on a name for each one of our feathered friends.
