Cheviot Primary School currently operates two Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) classes, both with a Communication and Interaction focus. This is provision provided by Newcastle Local Authority to enable children who have additional educational needs to be educated inclusively in mainstream school. The ARP is run under the same guidelines set out in the school SEN policy. The aim of the ARPs is to support children to develop their communication skills and support them to learn in the most appropriate way for them.
