How is PE taught?

PE is taught through fun and active lessons where children build their skills over time. They start by learning basic movements and then apply these in different sports and games. Lessons are designed so that all children can take part and make progress. Activities are taught in a way that helps children feel confident and enjoy being active. They practice on their own, with a partner or in a group. Children take part in events such as sports days, competitions and special activity weeks. PE is also taught outdoors as much as possible, giving children the chance to move in different spaces and try new challenges. We help children to see how exercise keeps their bodies and minds healthy.
