Our recent Year 6 residential trip to Great Tower Scout Camp was a fantastic experience for all involved. The children embraced a wide range of exciting activities including paddleboarding, raft building, archery, crate stacking, tomahawk throwing, team games, and the daring leap of faith. On the first evening we enjoyed songs round the camp fire followed by a scenic walk up the hill, where Mr Mottram delivered an impromptu geography lesson about the Lake District.

All pupils stepped out of their comfort zones, showing incredible resilience, teamwork, and support for one another. The food on site was excellent, with no complaints from either children or adults. In their downtime, the children enjoyed playing outside, chatting in their rooms, and relaxing in the lodge’s lounge playing wink murder or board games. It was a truly memorable trip that showcased the pupils’ enthusiasm, spirit, and brilliant sense of humour.
