As part of our World Maths Day celebrations, children across the school took part in two exciting challenges set by Callerton Academy, alongside three other local primary schools.

The first challenge asked children to design a maths-themed T-shirt, which they completed in class. Each teacher selected the two best designs from their class before Mrs Maitland and Mr Mottram chose the winner and runner-up in each class.

The second challenge was to create a maths board game at home, and we received some fantastic entries. Miss Hunter and Miss Thackray carefully tested all of the games before selecting an Early Years & KS1 champion and a KS2 champion.

Prizes for both competitions were handed out during assembly today. Thank you to everyone who took part and shared their brilliant ideas ➕📐🎲
