VE day
VE Day marks the end of World War II in Europe on May 8, 1945, when people across the UK celebrated peace after years of conflict. We celebrated VE Day 2025 with a special assembly, period costume dress-up, and a fun street party lunch! In our assembly, pupils learned about the importance of this day and the bravery of those who lived through the war. We enjoyed singing songs together, dressing up in red, white and blue and sharing lunch together, just like the street parties held 80 years ago!
