Today we enjoyed a visit from Lesley from Nissan. She started the day by leading a whole school assembly where she told us more about the company and the factory in Washington. She explained to us the steps involved in building a car, from building the body to adding the engine, electronics and final touches. We also learned some interesting facts about Nissan’s history and how the company has grown and created new technology over time.

After that, each year group took part in engaging workshops where we designed and built our own cars out of LEGO. This helped taught us how tricky it can be to design a car, just like engineers do.
