Six children from our Eco Council attended the Net Zero Event at the Civic Centre on Thursday 5th February and had a fantastic day exploring the exciting initiatives taking place across Newcastle City Council to help tackle climate change. They took part in a range of hands-on activities, learning about renewable energy and discovering how energy is generated through solar panels and wind turbines. The Eco Council came away buzzing with ideas for how we can make positive changes in school, with plenty of plans already taking shape. Mrs Waite also made valuable links on the day and has planned a variety of workshops and sessions for all ages across the school with the different groups and companies who attended the event.
