Dame Chi Onwurah, MP for Newcastle upon Tyne Central and West came to deliver an assembly to us about her job as an MP as part of Parliament Week.

Words cannot express how proud we are of the children for their outstanding and insightful questions, and we thank Dame Chi for taking the time to answer them, even the trickier ones! Perhaps we have some budding MPs in our midst?

Particular well done to Mason whose question was democratically voted to win the 'best question' prize, despite some strong competition! He asked Dame Chi which ideas she had thought of which had been passed by parliament and improved the lives of people in Newcastle and the UK. He's now the proud owner of a House of Commons mug- great work!
