Christmas Performances
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have worked incredibly hard on this year’s nativity. Learning their lines, remembering where to be on stage and knowing exactly when to speak are all challenging skills, but the children managed them beautifully. A Miracle in Bethlehem took us on a wonderful journey through the Nativity story, and the children brought it to life with confidence and joy.
Meanwhile, KS2 brought the alpine village of Stumbledorf to life with their fantastic production of Dragon Days. The play follows the villagers’ comical attempts to protect themselves from a misunderstood dragon living high in the snowy mountains. Through lively songs, exaggerated storytelling, and plenty of humorous twists, the children tell a heart-warming tale about courage, friendship, and not believing everything you hear!
Our Year 3 pupils deserve a special shoutout. Taking part in their first ever KS2 production, they have risen to the challenge brilliantly. As rehearsals have gone on, they’ve picked up tricky song lyrics, actions and cues with real enthusiasm — a huge achievement for their first big show.
The whole cast — from cheerleaders to crones, villagers to the mighty dragon — have shown incredible teamwork and creativity. We are so proud of the energy, resilience and joy they have brought to this performance.
Well done, KS2 — you have truly made Stumbledorf shine!
