Music
Music is learning about rhythms and melodies. We might learn to play an instrument or sing. Music is what feelings sound like.

How is Music taught?
Pupils are introduced to a variety of musical styles and traditions, both historical and contemporary, from around the world. Lessons often involve singing, playing instruments such as recorders, ocarinas or percussion, composing simple pieces, and performing individually or in groups. Teachers follow a scheme of work from Charanga and work with visiting music specialists to enrich the curriculum. Extracurricular activities such as choir, instrumental groups, and school performances also support musical development and encourage participation.
