Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Support
Looking after our wellbeing and mental health is important for everyone. Just as we take care of our physical health, we should also make time to support our emotional wellbeing and mental health.
There are many simple ways we can support ourselves and our families:
- Try mindful colouring or other calming activities.
- Play a board game together as a family.
- Limit the amount of time spent on social media and other forms of media.
- Keep in touch with friends and family through phone or video calls.
- Go for a walk and enjoy the outdoors.
- Take part in regular physical exercise.
- Set yourselves a fun family fitness challenge.
While many worries and difficulties can be managed with support from family and friends, there may be times when additional help is needed.
If you have concerns about your child's emotional wellbeing or mental health, including persistent worries or anxiety, you can contact the Single Point of Access (SPA) for advice, support or to discuss a referral:

Online Support Services
There are a number of free, confidential online services that provide information, advice and anonymous support for children, young people and parents. These services can be accessed at any time and offer a range of resources to help with emotional wellbeing and mental health.
