At present, some families are eligible for free childcare for their two-year-olds. From April 2024 this will extend to some working families. From September 2024 this offer will extend to some nine-month-olds. 

 

There is also updated information about the change in eligibility criteria for parents and carers whose children currently access 15 hours free childcare. The government is making more people eligible for 30 hours free childcare.
